In the name of Allah the Most Beneficent the Most Merciful,
“And of His signs is [that] He shows you the lightning [causing] fear and aspiration, and He sends down rain from the sky by which He brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that are signs for a people who use reason.”
Dear reader, thunder and lightning give hope that rains will come and at the same time some may fear that lightning will strike them.As stated in previous posts these phenomena are signposts to the divine. It is even mentioned in a prophetic narration what to say upon hearing thunder:
“How perfect He is, (The One) Whom the thunder declares His perfection with His praise, as do the angles out of fear of Him.”(Ref: Hisnul Muslim Chapter 62)
The revival of the earth after its lifelessness is a clear indication of the resurrection as He who gave life to the dead earth can give life to dead humans too.
Allah our Kind Lord has reiterated this as is evident from previous posts a number of times in the Quran. Our Lord has done so to make us use the intellects He has given us.
Praise is due to Allah as befits the Majesty of His Face and the greatness of His sovereignty.
and Allah knows best.
Asalaam aleykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. (May the peace and Mercy and Blessings of Allah be upon you.)
